Thumbs up to DISD Superintendent Marvin Edwards and a majority of DISD trustees who supported him in the decision not to pay for an appeal for the Carter High School football team. The University Interscholastic League ruled that Carter was ineligible for the state football finals because last year the team used a player who was ineligible under the no-pass, no-play rules. It’s time to stop the Carter madness and get on with teaching and learning.
